The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is pleased to offer Research Information Support & Communication (RiSC™) a new tool to manage a Human Research Protection Program (HRPP).

Developed by the Office for the Protection of Research Subjects (OPRS), the RiSC™ system was designed to be a single system solution to tackle the complexities involved in managing the organization.

RiSC™ not only manages research protocols throughout their life cycle but also provides tools to increase office productivity and communication. RiSC™ provides reports that are the basis for developing a continuous quality improvement program for your HRPP.

The RiSC™ system has been beta tested and has been in production since October 2001 supporting an HRPP that manages over three thousand research protocols and supports three Institutional Review Boards. Through the use of RiSC™, many new functions have been developed to enhance the programs goal of protecting research subjects while facilitating research.

If you are interested in obtaining more information about the RiSC™ system or if you would like to schedule a demonstration, please contact:
