The IRB Panel Review Coordinator coordinates the work of the IRB panels, ensuring compliance with policies and rules pertaining to human research protections. The IRB is the federally mandated regulatory compliance oversight committee for research protocols involving human participants. The IRB Panel Review Coordinator reports to the IRB Program Manager.
Primary aspects of the position include:
--Coordinates work of the IRB Panels (40%)
--Liaison with investigators regarding human research protection issues (25%)
--Conducts independent reviews of research applications (30%)
--Other IRB Duties (5%)
Provides backup for other IRB Coordinator positions, as needed
In conjunction with Quality Assurance Coordinator, maintains forms and SOPs as needed
Conducts other human research protection program responsibilities as needed in order to address compliance issues
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related research field
- Specialized knowledge of regulations concerning human research protections
- Previous IRB-related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in working with either behavioral or biomedical research
- IRB Professional Certification

Salary and Benefits: Salary range is $56,000-$66,000. The University of Colorado offers a full benefits package.
