Coordinator Post Approval Monitoring - Texas A&M University

The Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies at Texas A&M University seeks a Coordinator Post Approval Monitoring for the Office of Research Compliance.

The Coordinator Post Approval Monitoring will review human subject protocols and conduct personal visits to ensure consistency with IRB-approved activities and applicable regulations.

Major responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

The Coordinator will also coordinate the planning, development, and integration of ongoing regulatory training programs and assist with policy and guideline development for IRB review and approval. The Coordinator will develop and implement a post approval monitoring program for ongoing activities including scheduling visits, reviewing selected approved protocols and accompanying grants, conducting on-site visits, preparing reports for investigators and IRB. It will assist with the development and implementation of regulatory training activities including, but not limited to seminars, newsletters, and website maintenance. It will conduct preliminary reviews of protocols and associated grant proposals to verify congruency, and it will verify that concerns or deficiencies noted during any post approval monitoring visits are addressed in a timely manner. This position maintains databases and prepares and distributes reports on training and compliance activities. Other duties as required.

Required education and experience: Master of Science degree. Three (3) years' experience in biomedical research laboratory or in in human subject research.

Preferred education and experience: PhD; experience in biomedical research; knowledge of Good laboratory Practice (GLP); experience in public speaking, delivering presentations, etc. Certified Professional lRB Administrator (CIP).
