Rutgers is seeking an experienced IRB Administrator.

Job Description:
Acts as subject matter expert on the protection of human research subjects; including federal, state, and Rutgers regulations, and provides education to reviewers, committee members, committees, faculty researchers, and staff .


Screens new and continuing protocols submitted for review, and assigns appropriate category of review. Utilizes research subject databases, protects integrity and confidentiality of data, generates agendas, and assists faculty users with electronic protocol submission.


Reviews/certifies grant proposals to funding agencies for regulatory compliance regarding the protection of research subjects, provides expert advice to researchers regarding federal and other relevant regulations.

Incumbent will understand how to balance service and fiduciary roles, and have a track record of successful, productive interactions with researchers.

Reports to Director of Research and Sponsored Programs.

Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, plus a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.

Requires ability to work with faculty committees, manage complex administrative tasks, and set priorities under deadline pressure, including the ability to communicate well.

An advanced degree -- e.g., J.D. or MBA - and IRB certification (CIP) are preferred.

Salary range: Depending on experience and qualifications, up to $75,000
