Quorum Review, an accredited independent Institutional Review Board (IRB) and a leader in the industry for its services in overseeing research participant safety is seeking an Expedited Reviewer/ IRB Board Member.
The Expedited Reviewer provides Board member judgment to review submitted requests for changes in research accordance with established regulations, policy, and guidelines, and performs all duties of a regular IRB member.
Primary responsibilities will include:
-Interpret and apply Federal Regulations, and Quorum’s HRPPP guidelines in a manner that assures Quorum’s full compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.
-Determine whether request for changes in research meet regulatory guidance in order to be considered appropriate and suitable for Expedited Review (EXR).
-Attend Board meetings and make recommendations to the Board on regulatory issues, provide rationale, and justification for recommendations.
-Has authority to approve review requests, as submitted through the Expedited Review (EXR) process using regulatory guidance and knowledge of the preferred Board approach and Board policy.
-Determine when changes in research are not appropriate for expedited review and refer these to a convened Board for review.
-Provide necessary background information to the Board to assist their review.
Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years working in a professional environment adhering to regulation and detailed administrative procedures, and where analysis and documentation is essential. Experience working with IRB processes, and knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare preferred.
BA or BS degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Plus, experience working with a vulnerable population required.
Compensation is DOE. This is a 20 hour a week, non-exempt position. Telecommuting is not an option for this position.
