Seeking a qualified individual to direct all Institutional Review Board/Institutional Biosafety Committee (IRB/IBC) activities in compliance with federal regulations and institutional policies governing human subjects research. Supervises a 3-person staff. Provides education to and advises IRB/IBC MEMBERS, investigators, and other research team members on the ethical conduct of research. Collaborates with other IRBs to facilitate the review of research in our region.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in public health, social sciences, medical ethics or a related discipline with 3-5 years experience working with an institutional review board. Must have working knowledge of FDA and OHRP regulations and ability to educate others and promote understanding of the need to protect human subjects in research. Excellent writing and verbal skills a must. Individual must be a self-started and have excellent teamwork skills. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills.
