 IRB Meeting Coordinator -- Columbia, MD

Chesapeake Research Review, Inc. (CRRI) is an Independent IRB located in Columbia, Maryland and was founded in 1993. CRRI is currently fully accredited by AAHRPP. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for IRB Meeting Coordinator.

The IRB Meeting Coordinator manages the functioning of CRRI’s IRB meetings and assists the IRB Administrator to ensure compliance of applicable federal regulations.

Requirements

• Manages the functioning of IRB meetings
• Manages IRB appointments and registration activities
• Responsible for assignment meetings and accompanying tasks
• Manages the intake of new protocols
• Attends at least one IRB meeting per week
• Resolves complex issues for the IRB prior to the IRB meeting
• Generates and critically reviews, edits and quality checks IRB meeting minutes
• Revises/creates IRB reviewer forms
• Assists the IRB Administrator to ensure that the IRB adheres to all applicable Federal regulations and adheres to timelines
• Keeps informed on Federal Regulations and Guidelines
• Effectively allies Federal Regulations and other regulatory resources.
• Offers process improvement ideas
• Coordinates end of the year IRB activities
• Assists with the revision of IRB Written Procedures
• Assists with training of new IRB members
• Conducts quality assurance and quality control on all work products to ensure highest level of quality
• Displays a clear attitude of customer service.

Qualifications:
• An understanding of IRB administrative processes
• The ability to read and interpret submitted studies appropriately
• Strong meeting management and facilitation skills
• The ability to summarize key points in writing during meeting discussions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with people at all levels
• Willingness to attend evening IRB meetings as needed

Education and Training

Candidate must have 2 years of related IRB experience including applying Federal Regulations pertaining to human subjects research and must be CIP or within 1 year of eligibility. Must have a BA/BS degree in a relevant field or 5 years equivalent experience.
