Duties: The IRB Administrator works collaboratively with the IRB Chair and staff to facilitate ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of the human subjects protection program. Ensures that proposed research is reviewed efficiently and consistent with regulations and institutional policy. Serves as liaison with investigators, research coordinators, office of research administration and regulatory agencies.

Requirements: A Master's degree is preferred; a BA, BS or AD degree, with a minimum of 5 years experience in support of clinical / biomedical research and / or IRB experience in a health care environment. Must have knowledge of and experience in the interpretation of Federal and State regulation particularly regarding the protection of human subjects in biomedical research. The National Association of IRB Managers certification (NAIM) encouraged; IRB certification by the Council for Certification of IRB Professionals (CCIP) required within second year of employment. Must have experience with Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Access. Must be professional, well organized and able to work independently and cooperatively in high-pressure environment with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Must be self-directed and able to work with minimum supervision. Must possess good judgment and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate and express ideas clearly in writing and oral communications.
