Research Grants & Contracts / Compliance Coordinator
ProHealth Care, a regional critical & primary care provider that ranks among the most technologically and clinically advanced community health care systems in the country, is seeking a Research Contracts and Grants and Compliance Coordinator for the ProHealth Care Research Institute. Responsible for: Effective management and leadership of key activities relevant to (a) research contracts and grants, and (b) regulatory compliance. ProHealth Care system-wide responsibilities for direction, development, review and execution of research contracts and grants. Fiscal monitoring of research grant cycles, including management of grant revenue and budgeted research expenses. Collaboration with the Executive Director of the Research Institute and Institutional Review Board Coordinator to provide support to clinical research coordinators, research nurses and research physicians to support continued growth of existing funded research programs and the development of new initiatives to expand research conducted within ProHealth Care. Working closely with the ProHealth Care Chief Compliance Officer and Office of Corporate Compliance in the monitoring of research regulatory compliance. Developing internal systems to monitor all local, state and federal regulatory requirements for research activity within the ProHealth Care system. Overall, the Coordinator’s ability to fulfill all key functions of the role is critical to advancing the mission, strategic plan and goals of the ProHealth Care Research Institute.
Requirements include: Baccalaureate degree or higher, from an accredited college or university. 5 years of directly related experience in contracts and grants and or research administration; and or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong command of regulatory compliance standards for clinical research. Sufficient management and professional experience. Judgment and integrity to effectively serve physicians, nurses, research staff and sponsors while protecting, representing and advancing ProHealth Care’s best interests. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience working within the research environment at a major university or institute. Working knowledge of: outside funding agency procedures and compliance requirements and regulations of sponsored research; contracting and subcontracting practices; federal agency practices, regulations and policies; conflicts of interest; and intellectual property concepts; and cost accounting standards. Expertise in grant application and preparation and research administration. Evidence of leadership success in comparable situations. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and willingness to reach out to various stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Word processing experience and the ability to work with a variety of database systems; spreadsheets; reporting systems and electronic document management systems.
