General Purpose
The IRB coordinator is responsible to the IRB Chairman and members for the administrative and regulatory operations of the committee. Responsibilities will include the interpretation and application of human subject research regulations, policies, and guidelines for compliance assurance. The IRB coordinator will provide guidance on IRB processes to the IRB members reviewing and investigators conducting research. The position requires the development, recommendation, and implementation of related IRB issues and human subject research protections for improved education and IRB policy and procedure processes.
Tasks
Communicates with the IRB Chairman, IRB members, and investigators attentively and professionally
Coordinates a bi-monthly meeting that includes the agenda, electronic meeting folders, and committee education
Screens protocol submissions for the completion of IRB requirements
Attends the convened committee meeting to document the minutes that serve as the official record and report to the Board of Directors
Generate post meeting and expedited review deliberation letters
Updates and maintain the IRB database for study tracking
Education
Preferred BA or BS degree and previous IRB/ human subject research experience
