BAI is seeking Human Subjects Research Specialists (4-5 positions, experience levels varying from entry-level/administrative to senior-level/supervisory) to provide analytical and professional support services to scientists conducting human subjects research for a government agency. Duties will include (1) working with Principal Investigators to develop research protocols to support Congressionally-mandated research projects; (2) assessing existing and proposed research projects for compliance with ethical standards and federal and agency regulations governing the use of human subjects; and (3) providing executive administrative support and life cycle management for each research protocol.

Requirements
Entry-level applicants must be able to demonstrate familiarity with the federal regulatory environment, particularly regulations governing the conduct of research using human subjects, and should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with advanced degrees preferred. Professional or academic experience working with research & development programs is beneficial.

Senior-level applicants must (1) demonstrate expertise in human subjects research regulations and ethical standards; (2) have management or supervisory experience; (3) have experience in developing and reviewing research protocols compliant with 45 CFR 46; and (4) hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in a related field.

Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for success in these positions.

Security Clearance
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
