Job Description
The IRB Meeting Coordinator provides training for and coordinates the activities of the IRB Meeting Specialists. In addition, the IRB Meeting Coordinator manages the functioning of CRRIs IRB meetings and assists the IRB Administrator.
Job Requirements
Provides training and assists in the development of the IRB Meeting Specialists
Manages the functioning of IRB meetings:
Resolving complex issues for the IRB prior to the IRB meeting
Communicating concerns/questions raised in the IRB meeting
Manages IRB appointment activities, IRB roster/OHRP registration, intake of new protocols, IRB Honoraria, IRB reviewer forms
Attends at least one IRB meeting per week, supports Ad Hoc IRB meetings and facilitates assignment meetings
Reviews, edits and quality checks IRB meeting minutes
Coordinates audit requirements for IRB Management
Maintains IRB contacts
Assists the IRB Administrator:
Ensures IRB adheres to all applicable Federal regulations and timelines
Keeps informed in the area of Human Subject Protections
Manages complex and challenging issues in the IRB meetings
Identifies issues for the IRB through high-level understanding of protocols
Offers suggestions and ideas for process improvement to IRB Management.
Works with project teams on any special issues
Conducts quality assurance and quality control on all work products
Identify strategies and methods to achieve organizational goals
Attends conferences and workshops
Displays excellent customer service
Education/Experience
The successful candidate will have a BA/BS or 6 years in a related field. Or, minimally, 2 years of related IRB experience in applying human subject protections regulations. Experience supervising others is desirable. CIP certified or must be eligible within one year to become CIP certified.
