The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is seeking an Institutional Review Board (IRB) Administrator to coordinate IRB related activities for the Infectious Diseases IRB (USU IRB-II) at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) in Bethesda, MD. Coordinate all activities of the IRB-II in conjunction with the Director of the Human Subjects Protection Program at USU. Ensure compliance with state, federal and local requirements. Conduct administrative and regulatory review of research protocols involving human subjects. Maintain effective communications with Principal Investigators, Office of Research staff, Institutional Review Board (IRB) members, regulatory personnel, and others. This position may require occasional multiday travel to visit network participants in the US and abroad. Tracks protocol review activity, manages data and record keeping. Assists with ongoing education and human subjects protection training efforts. Completes other duties as required. Must have thorough knowledge of federal and local regulations and policies pertinent to research involving human subjects, excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; computer proficient with Microsoft Office.
