The IRB Administrator is part of a professional team that supports the IRB in the areas of protocol review, complex correspondence and minutes, Committee member and research staff liaison, IRB procedure manual and forms, and training and office management.
Ideal candidates will have: The ability to communicate effectively and to write complex communications.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. The ability to prioritize and process large volumes of work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to human subject research. A working knowledge of relevant scientific and medical concepts and terminology. The ability to effectively analyze and solve problems involving highly technical information. The ability to interpret and apply ethical principles applicable to human medical/behavioral research. The ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a scientific or business discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience. Masters degree preferred. Requires 1-2 years research experience plus 1-2 years IRB experience.
