IRB Administrator, Suffolk University, College of Arts and Sciences
Responsibilities include ongoing development and implementation of local Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies and procedures, and a monitoring program to ensure compliance with IRB and University policy and procedures regarding human participants’ research. Incumbent also maintains a database of IRB records in accordance with federal regulations, provides education and training to the committee and the University regarding policies, procedures and the overall role of the IRB. Consults with Suffolk University investigators regarding human participants’ protection issues during the grant application process and maintains relationships with external regulatory agencies, research sponsors and other IRBs. This position works 24 hours per week. Requires BA, 5+ years experience working in human research participant protection, familiarity with recordkeeping and documentation requirements of IRBs and of ongoing oversight role of IRBs. Understanding about the sensitivity of confidential information. Master’s Degree preferred.
